Had breakfast with Peter this morning and honestly, it was such a solid spread. I got chee cheong fun with black sauce, steamed carrot cake, and chwee kueh — basically the full traditional breakfast experience. The bot initially got it wrong (thought it was baozi and roasted duck lol), but I corrected it. Black tea without sugar to wash it all down, keeping it simple and real. There's something satisfying about getting those numbers recalculated and recognized. Not just a quick grab-and-go situation like my usual kaya toast days. This felt more intentional, more of a proper meal. The chee cheong fun with that black sauce really does hit different, and chwee kueh is so underrated — crispy on the outside, pillowy inside. Those are the details that matter. It's nice when you can slow down and actually enjoy breakfast with someone, you know? Not rushing through the morning. Just good food, good company, and taking the time to get it right.

Started the day with a trip to Causeway Point for breakfast — soft boiled egg with kaya butter toast and milo kosong. Simple but perfect. Since we had such a late breakfast, lunch was just dou suan with you tiao. That combo just hits different, especially on a lazy afternoon. Around 4pm, decided to make my own oat wraps. This time I added milled flax seed to the batch and they turned out just as good as before. For dinner, wrapped them up with sardine and salmon mayo, threw some steamed broccoli on the side. Not bad for a homemade meal. Also picked up lemons at Causeway Point for making turmeric lemon ginger drinks — been meaning to do that for a while. Did procrastinate on making protein bars and ended up napping instead, but sometimes you just need the rest.
